Personal Preference Information

Coco’s Restaurants Inc., Carrows Restaurants, Inc., and their affiliates (collectively, the “Company”) only use Personal Preference Information (“PPI”) to offer their customers information and discounts on products and dining ideas that a customer has indicated they want to hear about.

PPI is collected by the Company when a customer voluntarily provides such information to the Company or one of its third party partners. PPI is personal information linked to individual, such as name, e-mail address, zip code, gender, birth date, anniversary date, or lifestyle and personal interest information. If you do not want your personal information collected, please do not submit it.

The Company collects PPI when users respond to an advertisement, survey, register for email announcements or newsletters, register for product or dining discounts, or enter a sweepstakes promoted by the Company or its partners. In addition, selected third-party partners of the Company will share personal information with the Company about their consumers that have consented to the sharing of their personal information with third parties.

The Company uses PPI to:

  • Ensure that customers receive products and information that they request;
  • Deliver permission-based direct marketing messages, email newsletters and email advertisements based on a customer’s expressed interests or on characteristics of similar customers; and
  • Deliver mailings or e-mail messages to those users that have submitted their e-mail addresses or postal addresses directly to the Company.

The Company does not collect sensitive personal information, such as medical information, personal information regarding sexual orientation or behavior, or personal credit information.

The Company may use a third party service provider to provide a product or service on its behalf that you have requested, such as email announcements, advertising, promotions or newsletters. The Company requires these service providers to agree to use personal information of subscribers only for the purposes of carrying out these operations and to adhere to the terms of this policy.

The Company, or a third party acting on its behalf, may monitor the readership levels of the Company’s HTML users to help identify aggregate trends in its service’s usage so the Company can be sure that it is doing everything possible to create products that are of the highest value to its customers. The Company may recognize when the email was opened, which URLs were clicked and some information about the message in which the URL was found to help identify aggregate trends in usage. The Company never shares information about individual usage.

The Company only collects certain personal identifying information from its Rewards and e-Club participants, such as first and last name, birth date, and mailing address. Personal identifying information of Rewards Club participants is collected by the Company when a customer voluntarily provides such information to the Company on his or her own behalf, or on behalf of his or her children.

The Company may use internally personal identifying information provided by, or on behalf of, its Rewards Club members by including the members’ residence addresses in its marketing database for the purposes of distributing future promotional materials. In addition, the Company will provide access to collected PPI data only to those third-party partners that adhere to fair information practices for lawful, non-discriminatory purposes or the Online Privacy Alliance privacy principles.

The Company will not share a customer’s information with any third party if the customer indicates on the registration form or subsequent questionnaires the preference to limit the use of such information, or if such customer opts-out of the Company’s PPI databases or otherwise requests that the Company not share his or her information.
